I hate spending large amounts of money…

And by large amounts I mean anything over $5049.99. I have this internal cash register that really believes things should only cost between $10-12 max. I almost had a heart attack last year when I went to buy my annual pair of shoes and realized you can’t buy good quality shoes under $50 (shoot me in the face). But at the same time, I really enjoy nice things. I’d just rather make it or buy it second hand then pay full price, I RARELY pay full price for anything.

My mother used to tell me it’s the reason I’ll never give her grandkids. Though I once dated a girl (whose coincidentally is now married to another guy with the same name, le sigh) who had the same outlook. She would make anthropologie outfits from pieces at TJ Maxx (dream girl, guys). I still occasionally kick myself for dropping that ball, but I digress. The point of all this is to say I damn near died when the time to finally upgrade equipment was unavoidable. I’m a firm believer the best camera is the eye of a good photographer, but at the same time there comes a point where what you want to accomplish lies outside of the capabilities of what you own.

So I spent the last three months, scouring store and internet for the absolute lowest prices possible and charted a well crafted plan of attack. And I’ve been able to come way under my budget! I still can’t bring myself to list prices because I really will throw up. But here’s the already arrived or very soon to come additions to my fold:

And now that the terrible paying part is over, I can just pretend it didn’t happen and imagine it’s Christmas. Fedex & UPS are seriously scheduled for 5 stops to my house in the next two days, not to mention the two earlier this week. Anybody wanna come help me name this jank?
